Privacy Policy

Who StoryMansion is for

StoryMansion accounts are for parents, guardians and other adults (18 or over). Children do not use StoryMansion themselves. When you tell us about a child, you confirm that you are their parent or guardian, or that you have their parent's or guardian's permission.

What we collect

• Your account: your name and email address, and your password (stored securely by our sign-in provider; we never see it). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them.
• Story details you choose to give us: for example the child's name, nickname, age, what they call their family, what they look like, what they love, memories, and anything else you type into the story form.
• Your storybooks: the stories, illustrations and PDFs we create for you, and any edits you make.
• Payment details: when paid storybooks are available, payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation that you paid, but we never see or store your full card or bank details.
• Technical basics: your browser keeps you signed in and saves an unfinished story form on your own device so you don't lose it. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

We don't ask for photos of your child. Please only share details you're comfortable putting in a storybook.

How we use it

• To write your story and create its illustrations and PDF.
• To run your account, show you your books, and help you if something goes wrong.
• To improve story quality (for example, reviewing a book you've reported a problem with).

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. We will not use your child's story or pictures in our marketing unless you give us permission first.

Who helps us

We use a small number of service providers, who process your information only to provide their service to us:

• AI providers (currently Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, through the Lovable AI gateway) receive the story details needed to write the story and draw the pictures.
• Hosting and storage (Lovable Cloud, which runs on Supabase, and Cloudflare) store your account, stories and pictures and run the website.
• Payment provider processes payments when paid storybooks are available.

Some of these providers may process information outside the United Arab Emirates.

How we protect it

• Your stories and pictures are private to your account. Pictures and PDFs are stored privately and shown to you through short-lived secure links.
• A small StoryMansion team can view books, and the details entered for them, when needed to support you or check quality. We don't look through them otherwise.
• No method is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and only collect what the story needs.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your account and storybooks until you ask us to delete them, so you can come back to your books later. You can ask us to delete a book, or your whole account including all story details and pictures, by emailing hello@storymansion.com from the email address on your account. We'll do it within 30 days and confirm by email.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@storymansion.com. You can also edit the text of your storybooks yourself at any time.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we'll let you know by email or in the app.
